"The presidents, of course, discussed the issue of an agreement in Ukraine," Kremlin adviser Yuri Ushakov said, according to the Russian state news agency RIA Novosti.
The conversation lasted 85 minutes, and they also talked about Iran and the Middle East, according to Ushakov.
Ukraine announced earlier on Saturday that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had spoken with Trump. Zelenskyy called it a “very good phone call.”
"President Trump and I discussed the current situation on the front lines as well as our diplomatic efforts. There is a real chance to end this war, and US determination is crucial. We have decided to continue these discussions during the NATO summit in Ankara," Zelenskyy writes on X.
Delegations from 32 countries are expected to arrive in the Turkish capital Ankara when the meeting begins on Tuesday.
