King Harald has spent two days at the private hospital Universitario Hospiten Sur in Tenerife, Spain. He will be discharged.
"His Majesty the King has responded well to the treatment and recovered quickly. He will be discharged from the hospital today," the Norwegian royal family said in a press release, according to VG.
King Harald, 89, was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday during a holiday trip to the Spanish island with Queen Sonja, 88.
The King and Queen will remain in Tenerife, according to the press release. "No decision has yet been made on the timing of their return. The King's doctor will remain in Tenerife for a few days to monitor developments."
A new update on the King will be provided on Monday, March 2, "or earlier if there is a change in his health," the royal house states.
