On Tuesday, party leader Ebba Busch will present the proposals in the ten-point programme that will make KD the new bourgeois school party. The Liberals, who have long been the driving force on the school issue, are pushing to ban profits, but according to Ebba Busch, there are bigger problems to address.
I think that in many ways it only plays into S's hands. We need to return to content and quality, peace and quiet, the KD leader tells the radio.
Busch believes that it needs to be investigated in which grades the grading system should be introduced. However, she is convinced that it would also be needed in some form for younger students.
Among the KD proposals is also detention for students who repeatedly do not do their homework, and the party also wants to introduce so-called "no excuses" schools.
The educational model, which is taken from the US and England, is based on strict discipline and high standards. It often includes longer school days, teaching on Saturdays and mandatory summer school, as well as mandatory school uniforms - something that is currently against the Education Act.
