Income from prostitution should not be taxed and a change in the law should be investigated, believes KD, which thereby goes against its government colleagues.

All income a person has is taxable and the law does not provide any exemptions for sexual services. It is important to bring about a change, says Sara Kullgren, chairwoman of the KD Women's Association, to Sveriges Radio Ekot.

Sex trafficking is a form of exploitation and not a job. Sex trafficking is not and should not be a business.

Last year, the government decided that the tax on income from prostitution would remain. However, the Christian Democratic Party recently decided at its national congress to push for a change.

"It is unreasonable for the state to tax abuse. I would almost see that as pure pimping and makes the state complicit in exploitation," says Sara Kullgren.
