Karlsbro has been weighing the pros and cons of the options since it became clear that she had been given one of the Liberals' seats in the Riksdag.
"Ever since I started getting involved in politics, I have dreamed of sitting in the Riksdag, the heart of Swedish politics. But I have decided to continue in the EU," she writes on Facebook.
Above all, she justifies the decision with her position as Parliament's chief negotiator for economic support to Ukraine.
"There is more to be done, not least in the matter of using the frozen Russian assets," writes Karlsbro.
