European Parliament member Karin Karlsbro does not want to become party leader for The Liberals, reports Aftonbladet. She has not received the question either, she says to the newspaper during a question hour in the EU Parliament.
Previously, Climate and Environment Minister Romina Pourmokhtari has declined the party leader position. Also, the former Minister for Integration Erik Ullenhag has stated that he does not want the assignment. Minister for Education Lotta Edholm has also said no.
On Monday, the chairman of the electoral committee Lars Persson Skandevall said that a proposal for a new party leader will be presented "in the middle of this week". The new Liberal leader will then be elected at the party's extraordinary national meeting on June 24.
