The Pakistani government says the airstrikes were targeting military installations and "terror targets."

At the time, the Afghan Taliban government had accused Islamabad of resuming attacks on Kabul. The reports of Monday's raids follow a few days of cautious calm in the conflict between the two neighboring countries.

The ruling Taliban's spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, said on X that the Pakistani raids targeted a rehabilitation facility that was hit and that several people were killed.

Last Friday, four people were killed in raids on Kabul.

The neighboring countries have clashed in rounds of fighting, and in February, Afghanistan launched a major border offensive in retaliation for Pakistani airstrikes against the country.
