The skiing talent won gold ahead of Gustaf Berglund and Johan Ekberg in the 20-kilometer ski race during the Swedish Championship week in Umeå.
But it hasn't always been obvious that Jonatan Lindberg would be able to continue his skiing career.
Last September, the 20-year-old was involved in a car accident. On his way to a training session, Lindberg drove off the road and into a lamppost. The car was completely destroyed and the driver had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance, according to Expressen.
Despite the severe crash, Lindberg escaped serious injury, although he suffered from headaches and neck pain afterward.
"I'm just happy that I'm alive and not in a wheelchair," he told Falu-Kuriren at the time.
