Jesper Wallstedt, who has now won his sixth game of the season, was in goal for Minnesota and needed to make only 13 saves. Minnesota won the shots-on-goal count 34-14.
"It felt like we controlled a lot of the game," the Swede told nhl.com.
Wallstedt leads the league in wins among goaltenders this season, alongside compatriot Linus Ullmark of Ottawa and Jeremy Swayman of Boston.
