Nannie Porres' career took off when she, at just 13 years old, won a talent hunt arranged by Expressen and soon became a frequent returning guest at the jazz hub Nalen in Stockholm from the 1950s onwards.
Nannie Porres sang in the jazz group Jazz Club 57 and collaborated with names like saxophonist Bernt Rosengren, Lars Gullin, and Monica Zetterlund.
Under her own name, she released records such as "I thought about you" in 1971, and the Swedish-language record "Närbild" five years later.
Nannie Porres also performed in revue with Beppe Wolgers and appeared with musical settings of poet Sonja Åkesson's poems.
