Bassist Eric Avery has shared a clip on

from a recording where he lays down the bass to Stephen Perkins' drums.

"Looking forward to adding some Mr Navarro to them", Avery writes in the caption.

After Jane's Addiction's first split in 1991, Avery and guitarist Dave Navarro teamed up for a project that came to be called Deconstruction. The band released an album in 1994 before Navarro moved on to Red Hot Chili Peppers.

It is still unclear whether the new recordings mean the start of Deconstruction 2.0.

It was during a concert in Boston in September that singer Perry Farrell suddenly attacked guitarist Dave Navarro. It was Jane's Addiction's first tour in 14 years with the original lineup from the 90s, but the rest of the tour had to be cancelled and the band announced that they had "made the difficult decision to take a break as a group".
