Israel's attack on Iran has delayed Tehran's opportunities to develop nuclear weapons by "at least two to three years", claims the Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar in an interview with Bild.

We have already achieved a lot but we will do as much as we can. We will not stop until we have done everything we can to get rid of this threat, says Saar.

Since Israel initiated the war last week, the two countries have attacked each other daily. From the Israeli side, they claim that the attacks are about preventing their archenemy from developing nuclear weapons. Tehran, on the other hand, denies having such ambitions.

The UN's atomic energy agency IAEA reported at the end of May that the "significant increase in production and accumulation of highly enriched uranium by Iran, the only non-nuclear power producing such nuclear material, is strongly disturbing”.

On the other hand, neither the UN observers, analysts, nor intelligence services in Western countries claim to have seen anything indicating that a larger, military nuclear program is underway in secret in Iran.
