The Israeli military writes on X that al-Hadidi worked, among other things, with transporting weapons from Hamas headquarters to the field.
The news of al-Hadidi's death comes as a group of high-ranking representatives of the terrorist group Hamas has landed in Cairo. There, they will hold discussions with mediating countries about the second stage of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza war, Israeli and Saudi media report.
The talks come as Israel's attacks on Gaza have intensified and the ceasefire appears to be hanging by a thread. Over the weekend alone, Israel carried out several airstrikes, killing at least 20 people. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claims the attacks are a response to Hamas sending fighters into Israeli-controlled territory.
