At least 13 people were killed in an air raid on a house in Deir el-Balah in central Gaza late on Saturday. Several of the dead are said to be children.
Hours after the attack, an AFP photographer saw residents searching through the rubble for survivors, while others looked for belongings they could salvage.
In a nearby facility, bodies lay covered with sheets on the floor.
In another nighttime attack, three people were killed in Rafah in southern Gaza, according to a spokesperson for the Hamas-controlled civil defense.
Early on Sunday, a car was also hit in a drone attack in Gaza City and four people were killed, according to reports.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military on these attacks.
In another attack, eight people, including four children, were killed in an Israeli attack on a school in Gaza, where people fleeing had sought shelter, according to the civil defense.
Israel claims that the air force carried out a separate raid on a former school in northern Gaza during the night against Sunday, writes the military on the messaging service Telegram.
According to reports, the school housed one of Hamas' command centers, where attacks on Israeli military and against Israel were allegedly planned and executed.
The military claims that measures were taken to minimize the risk of harming civilians.
The reports have not been confirmed from independent sources.
