The decision has not been made public by any authority.
"We do not comment on this issue," a spokesman for the Israeli Defense Ministry, which is responsible for settlements in the West Bank, told AFP.
Ten of the settlements are already existing outposts that are now to be legalized, while the rest have not yet been built. The 34 settlements are in addition to 68 that have already been approved since Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's right-wing government took office in 2022.
The settlements are considered illegal under international law. Over 500,000 Israelis live in settlements in the West Bank, where about three million Palestinians live.
