Advancement to the semifinals was already clear after just two sets. By then, Conegliano had taken a 2–0 lead and decided the two-legged quarterfinal tie against Ankara.
The Italian team then replaced several of its biggest stars, including Isabelle Haak, who still managed to score 14 points. Ankara turned things around and won 3–2, but it was not enough, as Conegliano had won the first match in straight sets.
Conegliano now has the chance to become the first women's team to win the Champions League, in its current form, three years in a row. In both recent editions, Haak has been named the final's most valuable player.
The finals will be held in Istanbul on May 2–3.
