The Irish Football Association has previously been pressured to boycott the match altogether. For example, hundreds of tennis balls bearing the words "stop the match" were thrown onto the pitch during a friendly against Qatar.
"Operational challenges may affect the ability to host the match at home, so the match will be played at a venue other than the Aviva Stadium," the Irish Football Association wrote in a press release.
The association further said it is in close contact with the Palestinian Association and has asked the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to suspend Israel from UEFA competitions in response to Israel's actions in Gaza.
