At least 35 merchant ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Monday. On Tuesday morning, several tankers were in the strait.
The change is seen as a sign that shipowners are increasingly confident that Iran will allow ships through, an analyst told Bloomberg.
Iran and the United States agreed on Monday to establish communication channels to keep the shipping lane open.
The Strait of Hormuz will never return to the conditions before the war and will be managed by the Islamic Republic of Iran in accordance with international law, said Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, chief negotiator in contacts with the United States, according to the state news agency IRNA.
