Iran's parliament wants to close the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, reports the Iranian state-owned Press TV. The final decision, however, is not in the hands of the parliament.
The message comes after the attack from the USA last night.
Already on Friday, the country announced that they were considering closing the strait, as revenge for "foreign aggression".
About a fifth of all the world's oil traffic passes through the narrow waters between Iran and the Arabian Peninsula. In addition, significant amounts of gas are transported daily through the strait, which is considered one of the most important in the world for global energy supply.
