On 37 pages, there is detailed information about depraved parties and vacations that the now 42-year-old Gaetz allegedly participated in while representing Florida.
The former congressman, who was previously considered for the position of Attorney General in the incoming President Donald Trump's government, has according to the investigation used illegal drugs, among other things, in his office on Capitol Hill, reports CBS News.
The investigation also shows that Gaetz regularly paid for sex and that he paid a teenage girl $400 after having sex with her in 2017, according to AP.
The committee concludes that Gaetz, through his actions, among other things, violated Florida's rape legislation, reports The New York Times.
"There is strong evidence that Representative Gaetz has violated the House of Representatives' rules and other codes of conduct that prohibit prostitution, rape, illegal drug use, unauthorized gifts, special favors, or privileges", it states in the report.
Matt Gaetz left his seat in Congress when he was nominated for Attorney General by Trump in November. Gaetz withdrew his nomination shortly after, when allegations of buying sex were made against him. Both he and Trump described the allegations as unfounded and politically motivated.
Earlier on Monday, Gaetz filed a lawsuit with a federal court to prevent the investigation from being made public, arguing that he no longer holds any public office.
