In an open letter to the Israeli government, 31 media organizations, including news agencies, leading newspapers and public service broadcasters, wrote that independent reporting from Gaza is being made impossible:
“Journalists have limited freedom of movement in war zones and conflicts. But Gaza is different. For over 930 days, Israel has banned foreign reporters from freely entering the territory.”
Israel has allowed a select few reporters to report from Gaza under the full control of the Israeli military.
The letter was published by the international journalists' association Kela.
