This summer's now-scrapped plans to sell shares in the World Cup to private investors have not changed the Swiss association's attitude towards the presidential election at the congress in March 2027.
"The FIFA president announced in April that he will stand for re-election in 2027. Of course, nothing has changed. Infantino will stand for re-election," the statement said.
Among other things, the European Football Association (Uefa) has demanded that Infantino resign and, for example, the Swedish Football Association has said that he does not have blue and yellow support.
No opponent to Infantino has yet been announced.
