Modi delivered a televised address to the nation on Monday. According to Modi, Pakistan has chosen to attack rather than help combat "terrorism".
If another terror attack is made against India, the response will be felt, he said, and continued:
If Pakistan wants to survive, it must destroy its infrastructure of terror. India will strike with precision and determination against the terror groups flourishing under the shield of nuclear blackmail.
India's military reported earlier that Monday night was the "first calm" since a ceasefire was reached with Pakistan on Saturday.
"No incidents have been reported, marking the first calm night in recent times", the military stated.
The ceasefire was announced on Saturday after four days of drone and robot attacks as well as artillery fire between the countries. Only hours later, both Pakistan and India accused each other of breaking the ceasefire.
The tense situation between the nuclear powers has raised concerns worldwide, and many countries have urged de-escalation. At least 60 people are reported to have been killed in the recent attacks.
