The prices of tickets to Sweden's World Championship group matches range from 530 to 1,805 kronor. For the rivalry match against Finland on May 12, there are currently only tickets left in the more expensive category. The organizer also expects a sell-out for the premiere against Slovakia on May 9, according to a press release from the Swedish World Championship organization.

"It shows what a huge demand there is for international top-level hockey on home soil," says Tony Wiréhn, Secretary General of the Swedish Ice Hockey Association and CEO of the World Championship organization, about the ticket pressure.

A total of 64 matches will be played during the championship, which will be shared by Stockholm and Danish Herning. In addition to one group match each, the cities will host two quarterfinals each. The semifinals and medal matches will be played at the Avicii arena.

The Three Crowns also have Austria, Canada, France, Latvia, and Slovenia in their group.

The championship will take place between May 9 and 25.
