Hate and threats directed at employees of HV71 have increased significantly. After the acting sports director, Fredrik Stillman, was placed on sick leave, the club is taking strong action. "We will report it to the police immediately," says chairman Anna-Lena Isaksson.

The Jönköping club has struggled in the SHL for several seasons and is now second in the league. As the hockey team's results have deteriorated, hatred and threats against staff have increased.

"We see that it has escalated recently and we, as an association, want to be clear that we put our employees' work environment first. That is why we are putting our foot down on this now," says chairwoman Anna-Lena Isaksson to Jönköpings-Posten.

On Wednesday, acting sports director Fredrik Stillman was forced to take sick leave due to symptoms of fatigue, which are partly due to hatred and threats.

"We will have zero tolerance for this now. If there is any hatred or threats against people within the association that we believe are over the line, we will report it to the police immediately," says Isaksson.
