The Huthi movement has released 153 prisoners of war as an effect of the ceasefire in Gaza. Previously, the Huthi movement has also announced that it will limit the number of attacks on cargo ships in the Red Sea. Furthermore, it has released 25 crew members from the ship Galaxy Leader, a ship that was hijacked as early as November 2023.
The Iran-backed Huthi movement has, since the outbreak of war in Gaza, attacked Western ships in the Red Sea, according to its own statement, in support of the Palestinians in Gaza.
