The Hungarian government strongly condemns the Russian attack on Transcarpathia, Magyar said, adding that Foreign Minister Anita Orbán will speak with the ambassador on Thursday morning.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Magyar for the diplomatic gesture.
"Moscow has once again proven to be a common threat not only to Ukraine, but also to neighboring countries and Europe as a whole," Zelenskyy said in a post on X.
Zelenskyy stated earlier on Wednesday that Russia had fired at least 800 drones and "deliberately targeted regions closest to the borders of NATO countries."
