Assault, drug offences and child pornography are among the serious crimes on the list of 806 convicted politicians running in this fall's election.
The Sweden Democrats have by far the largest proportion of convicted people on their lists - 3.3 percent (187 people) have been convicted of crimes in the last ten years.
In the Left Party, the corresponding figure is 2.0 percent, followed by the Christian Democrats (1.8 percent), the Moderates (1.7 percent), the Liberals (1.6 percent), the Social Democrats (1.1 percent), the Green Party (1.1 percent), and the Centre Party (1.1 percent).
Today's ETC has reviewed a total of 987 judgments based on the Election Authority's information on the almost 50,000 candidates from the eight parliamentary parties.
Four of the convicted politicians have withdrawn their candidacies after the review.
