The Swedish hip-hop group Hov1 is disbanding, the group announces on Instagram.

"As many of you have suspected. So it's time for us to turn the page", they write.

The members Ludwig Kronstrand, Noel Flike, Dante Lindhe and Axel Liljefors Jansson formed the hip-hop group at the age of 18.

In October 2015, their first single "Hur kan du säga saker" was released. Since then, they have made a big impact on the Swedish music scene and collaborated with artists such as Veronica Maggio and Håkan Hellström.

Last year, Hov1 was one of three artists with the most plays on Swedish Spotify, along with Taylor Swift and Yasin.

Thanks to the fans

After ten active years with six albums in their baggage, including the latest one released last year, the group thanks their fans in a post on Instagram.

"We want to thank you for everything. You who have always stood up for us in wet and dry. There are no prizes, awards or diplomas that can compare to the love you have given us", they write.

Hov1 has not only performed on stage but also been portrayed on the big screen. Last year, the concert film "Hov1 forever" was shown both in cinemas and on the streaming service Netflix.

Crashed the site

The documentary was filmed in the summer of 2023 and depicts the band's touring life, friendships, and relationship with the audience. In connection with the ticket release for the film, the pressure was so high that Filmstaden's website crashed, according to Aftonbladet.

The group has been nominated for Grammis, awarded at P3 Guldgalan, and won several Rockbjörnar.
