Thomas Massie, a Republican member of the House of Representatives, has taken the initiative to impeach the country's Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, reports The Hill.
Massie, who often criticises President Donald Trump, accuses Hegseth of launching a war without congressional approval.
The House of Representatives is expected to vote in the coming days on whether Massie's initiative should be taken forward.
