This applies to almost the entire Norrland, Svealand and the northern parts of Götaland – with a boundary drawn approximately at the height of Kungsbacka, Växjö and Kalmar.
There is also a high to extremely high risk on Öland. On Sunday and Monday, the same risk exists throughout the country, but then also applies to Gotland.
Be careful when lighting fires or using large machines outdoors and check if a fire ban is in effect in your area, urges SMHI.
At the same time, SMHI has issued a yellow warning for rain similar to cloudbursts in central Norrland and mountain areas, which can also reduce the risk of forest fires.
The institute has also issued yellow warnings for high temperatures, at least 30 degrees, in parts of northeastern Norrland and the inner parts of central Norrland.
SMHI has three levels of weather warnings:
Yellow warning: Consequences for society, some risks for the general public.
Orange warning: Serious consequences for society, danger for the general public.
Red warning: Very serious consequences for society, great danger for the general public.
Notices of risks for forest fires are not included in the warning scale.
