There is a high risk of grass fires in parts of the country on Monday, warns SMHI.
The entire West Coast is affected, down to Malmö in the south. In eastern Svealand, it concerns an area from Nynäshamn via Stockholm and a bit north of Uppsala.
There is also a high risk of grass fires on Gotland and the coastal areas of Västernorrland between Örnsköldsvik and Sundsvall, as well as parts of Västerbotten's and Norrbotten's coastal areas between Umeå and Luleå.
SMHI writes: "Grass fires can easily arise and spread in dry last year's grass due to, for example, burning or sparks from machines."
People are urged to exercise great caution "when burning or working with large machines outdoors".
