"Bonus Prince" Marius Borg Høiby went to court to stop the book "White Stripes, Black Sheep". It didn't work. Now his grandmother has paid the bill, reports Norwegian TV2.

Høiby was ordered to pay 460,000 Norwegian kroner in legal costs to the publisher Aschehoug AS, according to the ruling from the Oslo District Court. He was also ordered to pay 70,500 kroner to the trade association Den norske forleggerforening, in addition to legal fees.

On Tuesday, the 28-year-old's lawyer confirmed that the amounts had been paid - by Høiby's grandmother Marit Tjessem, Crown Princess Mette-Marit's mother.

The money was paid into our office by the client's grandmother, Elias Christensen tells TV2.

Marius Borg Høiby is Mette-Marit's son from a previous relationship. The book he tried to stop is partly about the crimes he is accused of, including assault and rape. According to the Norwegian court, the book contains "a series of untruths."
