Linnea Wikblad made her debut in "Musikhjälpen" in 2023. The following year, she was paired with colleague Assia Dahir, who had previously been a flying reporter. In 2025, both of them returned to the cage as program hosts.
This time they also get a boost in the form of comedian Hampus Hedström, known as the winner of "Let's Dance" in 2023, and for having been sick with vomiting for three weeks during the filming of "Over the Atlantic".
He believes that sitting in place in the "Music Help" cage will be easier to handle.
"The cage is still. Honestly, I don't think it's going to be that scary," he says.
"A little scary"
Appropriately enough for the comedian from Värmland, this year's program is being recorded at Stora Torget in Karlstad.
It's fantastic to be on home soil. But I also feel a certain amount of pressure, and that it's a little scary because it's about carrying the flag high, says Hampus Hedström.
For Hampus Hedström, it is not only an honor to lead “Musikhjälpen”, it is also a boyhood dream come true.
During my growing up years, I pulled out the mattress to stay awake in front of the TV. “Music Help” is like a campfire, it is one of the finest traditions we have, says Hampus Hedström.
Raggare and Lagerlöf
Hampus Hedström also hopes that it will be the perfect opportunity to showcase what Värmland's cultural treasure has to offer.
We have everything from the classic stereotypes of eponymous actors and raggare to fine culture with Selma Lagerlöf and Lars Lerin.
This year's "Music Aid" has the theme "All children have the right to go to school" and the money raised will go towards creating educational opportunities for children and young people in war-torn areas.
Hampus Hedström says he is particularly happy about this year's theme.
Sure, there are millions of things the world needs. But school is the very beginning and is not just about education but also about a safe place. A place where you can be protected from abuse or becoming a child soldier.
"Musikhjälpen" will, as usual, take over the entire Swedish Radio P3 for a week and will also be broadcast live on SVT Play. Large parts of the broadcasts will also be broadcast on SVT2 and SVT24.
The program has been broadcast and raised money for charity since 2008. This year's theme is "All children have the right to go to school." Education is not a given for 234 million children and young people in countries affected by disasters and war. Over 85 million children do not go to school at all, according to Radiohjälpen.
The money goes to, among other things, creating temporary classrooms for refugee children and for particularly vulnerable groups in crises, such as children with disabilities.
This year's hosts are Linnea Wikblad, Assia Dahir and Hampus Hedström. The program will air between December 1 and 7.
