The cleaning company is believed to have taken advantage of the woman's lack of language skills when she sought five weeks' vacation before her maternity leave. The employer gave her a form to sign - and stated that it was a vacation application.

When the woman presented the form to her Swedish-speaking husband, it turned out that she had signed a notice of termination citing a lack of work. At the same time, the company had advertised vacant positions that the woman had the skills to perform. She was also training a new employee.

The cleaning company, which has a collective agreement, is ordered to pay 200,000 SEK to the cleaner.
