The alarm about the accident came in just after half past three on Wednesday afternoon.
Two cars have collided and three people were involved, all of whom were taken to hospital, says Peter Karlborg, duty officer at the rescue service.
According to the police, one of those involved is being treated for what they describe as extensive injuries. The extent of the injuries for the other two is unknown.
The road was previously blocked but has now been reopened and the cars have been towed, according to the rescue service.
