Malmö won with crushing numbers against Halmstad in the restart after the summer break.
The final score was 5–1 at Eleda Stadium, with 20-year-old Hugo Bolin scoring two of the goals.
However, Andreas Johansson stole the spotlight with his historic substitution.
In the 85th minute, Malmö's great talent Hugo Bolin made it 4–1 with a return from Tim Erlandsson, after Sebastian Nanasi finished off Taha Ali's pass.
In added time, Bolin was on target again when substitute Niklas Moisander hit a long ball that the 20-year-old could lob over Erlandsson.
The other goal scorers were team captain Anders Christiansen, Isaac Kiese Thelin, and Erik Botheim.
Halmstad's only goal was scored by Icelander Birnir Snaer Ingason.
Despite the heavy defeat, there were not only sad faces in the Halmstad camp after the final whistle.
Andreas Johansson, 42, made history with his substitution in the match. "Ante G" is now the player with the most Allsvenskan matches of all time, after playing his 432nd Allsvenskan match on Sunday.
It's fantastic, I've been aiming for and fighting for this for a long time, and now I'm here. I'm going to think about myself right now, I'm incredibly happy and proud. Of course, I had hoped we could get a better result, but it's clear that I'm proud of what I've achieved, says Johansson to Max after the match.
The 42-year-old has now taken over the record from former goalkeeper Sven Andersson, who played for Helsingborg and Örgryte.
I still have the hunger and joy of playing, and then it's in matches you get the kicks and get to play in these matches, I'm incredibly grateful to have gotten to substitute in today, says Johansson.
Malmö remains in first place in Allsvenskan, Halmstad in eighth.
