What is really serious is that the social services, which have the task of protecting children who are at risk of being harmed, have not succeeded in doing so, says Göran Olsson, unit manager at Ivo, to P4 Norrbotten.
The children had been taken into care for several years, but in August 2023, they were reunited with their parents. The father was arrested a few months later, suspected of gross child pornography and gross sexual exploitation of children for sexual posing.
In November, the children were placed in LVU care again.
Ivo notes a number of deficiencies in the municipality's actions, including that the decision to terminate the LVU placement was made without relevant grounds and that the children's right to express their opinions was not satisfied.
