"It feels great. Two victories in two days, it's fantastic," Öberg tells SVT.
Hanna Öberg went out full force in the pursuit after Friday's sprint victory.
After three misses, however, she was joined on the final lap by Julia Simon, who finished fourth and missed only one shot.
Dramatic showdown
In the final shooting, both missed a shot and left the range together. It wasn't decided until the finish line, where Öberg prevailed in a tough sprint duel to win for the second day in a row.
"I felt her coming on the right side and thought, 'I'm ahead, so I'll take the right corridor' so that Simon had to go a little further. It was maybe a little tough, but I thought I was clearly ahead so I had the law on my side," Öberg says about the tight decision that the jury reviewed but cleared her.
Elvira Öberg also held her starting position and finished third with one miss, 23 seconds behind Hanna.
Sweden's successful season
The two Swedish podiums bring Sweden's total to 36 podium finishes this season. The Swedish biathlon team is thus on course for a record season, having never before taken so many podiums in a season. There are three competitions remaining.
Anna Magnusson started seventh, but fell during the third lap and then had problems with her rifle during the third shooting stage. After a total of four misses, Magnusson finished 39th.
Linn Gestblom was 21st with three misses, Ella Halvarsson 31st with one miss, and Anna-Karin Heijdenberg 45th after eight misses.
