Hamas stated late on Wednesday that the movement needs help with special equipment to be able to track and find additional bodies.
Hamas "has fulfilled its part of the agreement to hand over all Israeli prisoners who are alive, as well as the dead who can be reached", announces Hamas' military branch in a statement on social platforms, and continues:
"To reach the remaining dead, extensive efforts and special equipment are required to recover them. We are making great efforts to complete this".
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office confirms late on Wednesday evening that they have received the remains, which were brought to Israel by representatives of the Red Cross.
The issue of handing over the dead hostages is a stumbling block in the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened late on Wednesday that the country may break the ceasefire if they feel that Hamas is not keeping its part of the agreement.
