The coffins were handed over inside the Gaza Strip. The remains will now be examined by Israel and identified, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said in a statement.
According to Hamas, which is branded a terrorist organization, the bodies were retrieved during the day from one of the tunnels in the southern parts of the Gaza Strip.
Also on Friday, the remains of three people were left behind, remains said to belong to the eleven dead hostages still in Gaza. But on Saturday, Israel said that examinations had shown that the bodies did not belong to any of the hostages.
The handover is part of the ceasefire that came into effect on October 10.
Since then, Hamas has released all 20 surviving hostages and 17 bodies.
Israel has in turn released Palestinian prisoners and handed over the remains of Palestinians. Only 75 of the 225 have yet been identified because the Hamas-controlled health authorities in Gaza lack DNA testing. The health authorities have published photos of the dead in the hope that their families will identify them.
