According to Gaza's Ministry of Health, Sunday's attack caused a fire in the surgical building of Nasser Hospital in the city of Khan Younis.

The information about Ismail Barhoum comes from both Hamas and Israel's military.

Over 50,000 people have died in Gaza since the outbreak of war on October 7, 2023, according to health authorities in Gaza controlled by the terrorist-stamped Hamas.

Dangerous War Zone

The health authorities, which do not distinguish between civilian and combatant deaths, report that over 670 people have been killed since Israel broke the ceasefire on Tuesday that had been in place since January 19.

Witnesses in the city describe how people are fleeing on foot along a road towards Mawasi, where a large tent camp has been set up for internally displaced persons.

Dead Hamas Leader

Shortly beforehand, it was announced that at least 26 people had been killed in the Israeli airstrikes on Gaza overnight. Among them was another Hamas top official, Salah al-Bardawil, and his wife. al-Bardawil was a member of the terrorist-stamped group's governing political bureau.

The airstrikes were primarily directed at southern Gaza. Hospitals in the area report that they have taken care of the remains of 17 people, including women and children, in addition to the Hamas leader and his wife.

The Gaza war was triggered by the terrorist-stamped Hamas' large-scale attack on Israel in October 2023, when around 1,200 people were killed and over 200 people were taken hostage.
