Neither defenseman Jonas Brodin nor center Joel Eriksson Ek have played in the quarterfinal series against Colorado due to injuries, and their availability is highly uncertain.
Jesper Wallstedt, the third goalkeeper at the Olympics who did not play, has played well during the playoffs and veteran forward Marcus Johansson scored in the last match against Colorado, which turned from 0–3 to 4–3 after overtime.
Filip Gustavsson, who played two games in the Olympics, has been the reserve goalkeeper behind Wallstedt in the playoffs.
"We will check the situation and see how they are doing. If you are going to contribute, you have to be 100 percent fresh and hungry," says Hallam, who plans to leave five spots open in the World Cup squad for the opener against Canada.
