The preschool company Hagvidson takes out tens of millions in profit – but demands rationing of butter and toppings for the children, reports Aftonbladet.

The company has 21 preschools in the country, including in Stockholm, Falun and Oxelösund. Since 2020, the three owners have taken out 64.5 million in dividends and given themselves board fees and salaries of around ten million - money that is mainly tax funds in the form of municipal preschool grants, according to the newspaper.

But in a protocol sent out to employees, it appears that the children are considered to take too much Bregott and toppings on the sandwiches. "We need to think about how much butter we have on the sandwiches and the amount of toppings, where more than usual is being used right now", it says in the dispatch.

The children get half a cheese slice or half a thin slice of turkey on the sandwich and eat a maximum of two slices of bread, one soft and one hard per day, yet it seems to be too much, says a pedagogue to the newspaper.

Hagvidson's CEO and part-owner Michael Enghag has declined an interview with Aftonbladet.
