21.40: Male Athlete of the Year.
22.07: Performance of the Year.
22.20: Radiosporten's Jerring Prize.
+ Who will receive the Jerring Prize?
Last year, Armand "Mondo" Duplantis surprisingly missed out on the Jerring Prize to cross-country skiing star Ebba Andersson. Now, after both gold and world record in the Olympic Games, it's hard to believe that the popular pole vaulter won't receive what is often called the "people's prize".
Among the competitors are swimmer Sarah Sjöström (two Olympic gold medals), orienteer Tove Alexandersson (two World Championship gold medals), and beach volleyball duo David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig (Olympic gold medal).
+ Will the table tennis stars take the grand slam?
Table tennis has gathered the most nominations, five, after the Olympic success in Paris, where they won double Olympic silver - first through Truls Möregårdh in singles and then in the team competition.
Möregårdh is nominated for both the Jerring Prize and Male Athlete of the Year. He was also a key player in the team that is nominated for both Performance of the Year and Team of the Year. Additionally, Jörgen Persson can become Coach of the Year.
+ They decline the gala
The men's relay team in biathlon is nominated for both Team of the Year and the Jerring Prize for their World Championship gold medal in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic, last winter - but the heroes will not attend the Sports Gala. The reason is that it doesn't fit the biathletes' schedule.
+ "Svennis" is honored - again
Last year's gala was marked by the tribute to coaching icon Sven-Göran "Svennis" Eriksson. This year, Svennis, who passed away on August 26, will be remembered during "In memoriam".
+ Star power in the audience
On the guest list - apart from nominated athletes - are, among others, Prince Carl Philip and Prince Daniel, football icon Tomas Brolin, and alpine legend Anja Pärson. And many more.
+ Klüft and Zelmerlöw host
Just like last year, the program on SVT is hosted by former track and field star Carolina Klüft, together with artist Måns Zelmerlöw. For the second year in a row, the Strawberry arena is hosting the gala.
The entertainment will be provided by Laleh, Björn Dixgård, and Alba August.
