+ Will Samuelsson repeat his success?

Relays have been the Swedes' strongest weapon in the World Cup in winter, with wins and many podium places in both women's and men's relays, as well as mixed and single mixed relays. The men are also reigning champions. Sebastian Samuelsson has a few individual podium places in the World Cup in winter, and showed two years ago at the World Championship (three individual medals) that he is a championship skier.

+ Will Öberg find her form?

Elvira Öberg started the season strongly with, among other things, two wins, but a cold in January makes it difficult to predict her form.

I'm fully back. But I was sicker than I usually am, she said at a press conference on Friday.

+ The Super Brothers' last championship

As usual, there are several Norwegians at the top of the World Cup, but Johannes Thingnes Bø – one of the greatest biathletes of all time – is "only" second after Sturla Holm Lægreid, and Tarjei Bø is fifth. Both brothers Bø are finishing after the season and are surely eager for a lot of medal glory.

+ German World Championship queen?

The French dominated the World Championship last year, with Julia Simon as World Championship queen. Justine Braisaz-Bouchet and Lou Jeanmonnot also took several individual medals. In the World Cup in winter, the French have dominated in terms of numbers, with five among the top nine (Jeanmonnot second). But the best has been German Franziska Preuss with ten podium places.
