+ After "spygate" – time for the billion-dollar game

A place in the Premier League is estimated to be worth around 2.5 billion kronor, but Southampton will not be allowed to play in Saturday's promotion final at Wembley against Hull. The club knocked out Middlesbrough in the semi-finals, but after it was revealed that someone had filmed their opponent's training, Southampton were disqualified and "Boro" will take a place in the final after the so-called "spygate".

+ Is Hellberg making blue and yellow Premier League history?

Former Hammarby coach Kim Hellberg is currently in charge of Middlesbrough, and if the club manages to make the step up, the 38-year-old will become the second Swede in history to be the head coach of a Premier League club. The only other person to date is Sven-Göran “Svennis” Eriksson, who coached Manchester City in the 2007–2008 season. Two Swedes have acted as interim coaches - Fredrik Ljungberg (six games for Arsenal in 2019) and Björn Hamberg (one game for Brighton in 2023).

+ Will Tottenham be forced to say goodbye?

Tottenham have played in the English top flight since 1978–1979 and have only spent one season in the second division since the early 1950s. Now the London club is in danger of falling out of the Premier League. If they get a point at home against Everton, their place in the Premier League is secured - if they lose, West Ham can stay up if they win at home against Leeds. It is already clear that Burnley and Wolverhampton will be relegated.

+ Guardiola says "adios"

Spaniard Pep Guardiola has coached Manchester City to six Premier League titles, one Champions League victory, three FA Cup titles and five League Cup victories, but on Sunday the ten-year era comes to an end. When Aston Villa visit the Etihad Stadium, the 55-year-old will say goodbye.

Guardiola led City to the treble in 2023 – winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League in the same season. Something only Sir Alex Ferguson had achieved before (in 1999 with Manchester United).

+ Salah says goodbye

It will be something of a bitter end for Mohamed Salah at Anfield after 257 goals in 441 games in the Liverpool shirt – the third-highest all-time for the historic club. The Egyptian was openly critical of manager Arne Slot in January after an incident, and despite having one season left on his contract, the 33-year-old is leaving now. Sunday's home match against Brentford will be Salah's last appearance for Liverpool - if he gets playing time.

+ Arsenal raise the bar

It took 22 years, but away to London rivals Crystal Palace, Arsenal will lift the Premier League trophy for the first time since 2004. Arsenal clinched the title on Tuesday when challenger Manchester City only managed a draw against Bournemouth.
