The Social Democrats have begun to air ideas about forming a single-party Social Democratic government after a possible election victory, and then collaborating with different parties. Party secretary Tobias Baudin recently visited party colleagues in Oslo to study how the Labour Party is doing just that.
But Magdalena Andersson cannot count on the Green Party's support for such a solution. The Green Party wants to sit in government.
"We will sit in a government that we voted yes to," says Helldén.
When asked directly whether MPs would then vote for Andersson in a vote for prime minister, he replies:
Yes. It would be stupid to go ahead with that proposal.
