The Government wants to reduce the risks for Swedish export companies and proposes that the so-called guarantee framework at the Export Credit Council be increased.

Together with the Sweden Democrats, the government proposes in next year's budget bill that the maximum amount be increased by 110 billion to 650 billion kronor.

"It has been a turbulently trade-political time for our companies, not least due to the USA's trade policy with new customs notices every other day", says Minister for Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa (The Moderate Party) according to a press release.

An export credit guarantee functions as a kind of insurance against the risk of not getting paid in an export deal.

The government also proposes that the maximum amount for export credit guarantees for Ukraine deals be doubled to a maximum of 1.8 billion kronor.
