Approximately 10.2 million infants have not received basic vaccines against these diseases, figures from 2024 show.
"The global vaccine effort is under attack, and the Trump administration has contributed to that. The consequences could be enormous, as vaccines are one of the best ways to save lives and protect children from serious diseases," says Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa (M) in a press release.
In April this year, the government provided SEK 50 million in support to the International Vaccine Institute (IVI).
